Flaherty: Deep Roots in Philipstown

Flaherty For Philipstown Town Council

Re-Elect Bob Flaherty to Philipstown Town Council on November 5, 2019

Around here, Bob goes way back. He has spent 58 of his 59 years right in Philipstown. He and his wife of 34 years, Annette, are graduates of Haldane, as are their two kids Rachel and Kelsey.

Bob is known for his hard work on the Town Council. He has worked to keep Philipstown under the 2% New York State tax cap, not an easy thing to accomplish each year. He also implemented the Royal Carting Voucher Program, installed the Betty Budney Memorial at no expense to taxpayers and was instrumental in the implementation of the Climate Smart Community program. He has been intimately involved in the renovation of Town Hall, creation of the Drug Treatment Coordinator's office and has been very supportive of our seniors and veterans.

"We work well as a team on the Town Council and we support all the citizens of Philipstown," Bob says.

Despite the demands of his elected position, he still finds time to stay active in community groups and projects. He is an active member of the Knights Of Columbus where he is a trustee and Program/Youth Director. He is a parishioner at Our Lady of Loretto and an active member of the North Highlands Fire Company. Bob is a family man and spend many years with Little League and Pop Warner Football.

Always thinking ahead, Bob is working to keep and improve the quality of life for all members of the community. He is working to improve our infrastructure and expand Climate Smart programs like car charging stations.

Bob not only deserves our thanks for his hard work and dedication, he had earned our respect, admiration and vote.

Please re-elect Bob Flaherty to the Philipstown Town Council on Tuesday, November 5!
